Recruiting & Off-season

Portal visits are banned for transfers. You may not schedule or take portal visits as part of your transfer recruiting process.

High school recruiting visits are blocked until Week 5 of the regular season.

Exception: Visits scheduled around conference games or rivalry games are permitted before Week 5.

There is no out-of-pipeline tax — the old +40% out-of-pipeline NIL premium has been retired. Recruit anywhere; a recruit's NIL value is the same regardless of your pipeline regions.

Your program's pipeline regions still matter in-game (they make recruits in those regions easier to land), and they drive your program's recruiting-strength rating in the Legacy Manager app — but they are not a separate NIL cost. Class ranking tiers (T10 / T50 / T100) refer to national class rankings used in the NIL valuation tables below.

The NIL values below take effect at the start of Season 13. Season 12 and earlier keep their existing values — these do not apply retroactively.

High School — per signing:

These values apply to every signing regardless of pipeline — there is no out-of-pipeline premium.

Transfer Portal — per signing:

DP (◆) = CFB27 Dynasty Points at the locked $4,000/DP rate.

Portal QB premium: add +$2.5M for a national-tier (T10 / T50 / T100) portal QB.

Both offensive and defensive coordinators are part of the Coaching Carousel, managed in the Legacy Manager app. Playbook changes are offseason only and require:

1. Hiring an Offensive Coordinator (for your offense) or a Defensive Coordinator (for your defense) through the Coaching Carousel
2. Declaring the playbook — your playbook is the one your hired coordinator runs, declared on My Hub in the app

You can no longer run a defensive playbook that isn't tied to your hired DC — the same way your offense is tied to your OC. Mid-season playbook changes are not allowed.
