Sim football works when a bad rep gets corrected instead of argued about. The league office exists for exactly that: you saw something in a game that broke a rule, and you want it ruled on.

You have a case when you have three things — a specific play, a specific rule, and a clip. Missing one of those, you don't have a case yet.

Take it to the other coach first. Most of what reaches the office is a misunderstanding two adults could have settled in five minutes.

Posting in league chat is not filing. Venting there does not start a case. If it matters enough to be ruled on, put it in front of the office.

The standard the office rules by is Playing in Good Faith in Gameplay & Settings. This section is how you bring it a case.

Filing carries a fee on purpose. A stake keeps the office pointed at real calls instead of every close game.

• Filing fee: 3 LP, charged the moment you submit.
• Ruled valid: your 3 LP comes straight back, plus a +0.5 LP bonus for helping the office do its job. Both land automatically when the ruling is entered — nobody has to remember to pay you.
• Ruled unsubstantiated: the 3 LP is gone. If the filing was baseless or made in bad faith, the office may add a further LP penalty on top.

File when you are confident, not when you are annoyed.

• A clip is required. The filing form takes a YouTube link and nothing else, so trim your stream archive down to the play in question. No clip, no case.
• Name the rule and the situation — down, distance, quarter, what happened. The office rules on what it can see, so do the work of pointing at it.
• Your filing is private. Only you and the league office see who filed. If the ruling is published to the league, your name is left off it.
• The office answers in writing, cites the rule it ruled on, and may apply an LP penalty to the coach you filed against.
• The ruling and any LP that moved are on your record.
