USDA - Why Not Me?

Featuring KJ

Why Sam Leavitt Can Win the Heisman

When LSU landed quarterback Sam Leavitt, the talent was never in question. The real story is who will be guiding him. In USDA, few owners have built a stronger reputation than KJB, whose offenses have consistently been among the league’s most explosive. Year after year, he’s put his quarterbacks in position to succeed, making LSU one of the most dangerous programs in the country.

KJB understands what it takes to develop a Heisman-caliber quarterback. His aggressive offensive philosophy creates big-play opportunities and eye-popping statistics, exactly what voters look for. More importantly, his teams win games, and Heisman campaigns are built on signature victories as much as individual numbers. Sam Leavitt enters the season in the perfect environment to showcase his talent every Saturday.

If Leavitt can stay healthy and capitalize on KJB’s system, the numbers should take care of themselves. With LSU expected to compete for the SEC title and the College Football Playoff, every big performance will strengthen his Heisman résumé. The talent is undeniable, but paired with one of USDA’s premier offensive minds, Sam Leavitt has everything he needs to make a serious run at college football’s most prestigious individual award.

BONES USDA TOP 3 CONFERENCE PREDICTIONS

Top 3 Teams in Every Power Conference Entering CFB27

The road to a USDA National Championship starts with winning your conference. With new coaches, familiar faces, and powerhouse rosters across the country, these are the teams expected to lead the way when CFB27 kicks off.

🏆 SEC

1. LSU Tigers — Coach KJ

No coach enters CFB27 with more respect than Coach KJ. A nine-time National Champion, KJ has built a reputation for showing up when the lights shine the brightest. Every season opponents circle LSU on the schedule because they know beating KJ usually means surviving one of the toughest game plans in USDA. The question isn't whether LSU has talent—it's whether anyone can finally slow down a dynasty.

If KJ gets his offense rolling early and continues making clutch decisions in big moments, LSU is once again the favorite to win the SEC and compete for another national title.

Players to Watch
QB Sam Leavitt
RB Harlem Berry
WR Jackson Harris

2. Texas Longhorns — Coach Raine

Coach Raine has never lacked explosive offense, but CFB27 could be the year he proves he can win in multiple ways. Defenses already fear his passing attack, but if he establishes a consistent rushing game to complement it, Texas could become one of the most complete teams in the country.

The Longhorns possess elite talent on both sides of the ball, and if Raine finds the right balance between patience and aggression, they'll challenge LSU for conference supremacy.

Players to Watch
QB Arch Manning
RB Raleek Brown
EDGE Colin Simmons

3. Georgia Bulldogs — Coach Pud

Coach Pud begins a new chapter with Georgia, but success will depend on discipline. Everyone knows he loves throwing the football, but Georgia's roster is built to dominate the trenches and punish defenses with a physical rushing attack. If Pud resists turning the Bulldogs into an Air Raid offense and instead leans into their strengths, Georgia could make a deep playoff run.

The Bulldogs have championship talent—it all comes down to whether the scheme matches the roster.

Players to Watch
QB Gunner Stockton
HB Nate Frazier
FS KJ Bolden

🏆 BIG TEN

1. Oregon Ducks — Coach Avina

Nobody questions Coach Avina's stick skills. He's one of the best gamers in USDA. The next step is mastering the X's and O's at an even higher level. If he combines elite user ability with smarter game management and situational football, Oregon could become the team nobody wants to face on Saturdays.

With explosive athletes all over the field, the Ducks have the firepower to win the Big Ten and compete for the national championship.

Players to Watch
QB Dante Moore
SS Koi Perich
WR Dakorien Moore

2. Ohio State Buckeyes — Coach Trent

Coach Trent was arguably the most improved coach in CFB26, and now expectations are much higher. Ohio State has one of the deepest rosters in USDA, and if Trent continues putting in work both on and off the field, the Buckeyes should be competing for the Big Ten Championship every single season.

With elite talent at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, Ohio State has all the tools needed for a title run.

Players to Watch
WR Jeremiah Smith
QB Julian Sayin
HB Bo Jackson

3. USC Trojans — Coach Fitz

Coach Fitz might have the highest football IQ in USDA. Few coaches can create game plans capable of beating anyone on any given week. The only thing that occasionally hurts him is overthinking situations. Back with his favorite team, Fitz believes football knowledge beats pure video game skill, and he'll have every opportunity to prove it.

If USC avoids costly mistakes and executes consistently, they'll be a dangerous contender in the Big Ten.

Players to Watch
QB Jayden Maiava
CB Jontez Williams
HB Waymond

🏆 ACC

1. Miami Hurricanes — Coach Classic

Coach Classic has long been considered one of the USDA greats, but his biggest challenge has always been staying committed to the run game. Miami has the athletes to bully opponents, and if Classic builds his offense around establishing the ground attack before opening up the passing game, the Hurricanes could dominate the ACC from start to finish.

This roster has championship potential if the offense stays balanced.

Players to Watch
QB Darian Mensah
HB Mark Fletcher Jr.
WR Malachi Toney

2. Clemson Tigers — Coach Dimez

Coach Dimez finally gets to lead his favorite team, and expectations couldn't be higher. Clemson has explosive playmakers everywhere, but success will depend on offensive patience. Instead of searching for the home-run throw every drive, Dimez must be willing to take what defenses give him. If he does, Clemson has enough talent to challenge anyone in USDA.

The Tigers are built to contend for both the ACC title and a College Football Playoff berth.

Players to Watch
MLB Sammy Brown
WR TJ Moore
WR Bryant Wesco Jr.

3. SMU Mustangs — Coach Raz

Coach Raz has already proven he doesn't need a blue-blood program to win football games. No matter what roster he's given, he consistently finds ways to compete. SMU may not receive the same national attention as some of the bigger brands, but they have enough speed and offensive weapons to surprise everyone in the ACC.

If Raz continues maximizing his talent and winning the turnover battle, don't be surprised if SMU crashes the conference championship race.

Players to Watch
QB Kevin Jennings
HB Kendrick Raphael
WR Yamir Knight

🔥 Final Prediction

SEC Favorite: 🥇 LSU

Big Ten Favorite: 🥇 Oregon

ACC Favorite: 🥇 Miami

Three conferences. Nine contenders. One National Championship.

The biggest question entering USDA CFB27: Which coach will live up to the preseason hype, and which one will crumble once conference play begins?

USDA - The U is Back

Featuring Classic

Introducing USDA the magazine. Here we will be going over some of the major stories throughout USDA. Volume 1 is none other than “The U is Back”. This cover story is perfect since they went #1 in the USDA draft.

USDA Vol. 1: The U is Back

The U Is Back: Classic Bets on Miami With the No. 1 Pick

When the USDA draft clock hit zero, there was no more speculation. Owner Classic officially selected Miami with the first overall pick, signaling that one of college football’s most iconic brands is ready to return to the top. After days of rumors connecting him to powerhouse programs across the country, Classic made the bold choice to rebuild the swagger that once made the Hurricanes the most feared team in America. The message was clear: The U is back.

Few programs can match Miami’s legendary history. From producing Hall of Famers and first-round NFL Draft picks to winning national championships with an unmatched level of confidence, the Hurricanes built a dynasty that changed college football forever. Their intimidating style, elite speed, and championship pedigree made them the standard by which other programs measured themselves. Now, under Classic’s leadership in the USDA, Miami has an opportunity to write the next chapter in that storied legacy.

The road back to national prominence begins in the ACC, and Miami has every reason to believe it can reclaim control of the conference. With explosive athletes on both sides of the ball, a roster built around speed, and a recruiting brand that still carries national recognition, the Hurricanes have the tools to dominate the league. If Classic can capitalize on favorable conference matchups while developing his roster throughout the season, Miami could quickly separate itself as the ACC’s premier program and secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Perhaps the biggest reason for excitement is Miami’s NFL-caliber talent. The Hurricanes continue to attract explosive playmakers capable of changing games with a single snap, giving Classic one of the highest ceilings in the USDA. If he can blend disciplined coaching with Miami’s trademark swagger, there is every reason to believe this team can compete for a national championship. The expectations are enormous, but so is the opportunity. Classic didn’t just make the first pick in the draft—he made a statement that college football’s sleeping giant is awake once again, and the rest of the USDA has officially been put on notice.

Why Coach Funk is the Right Man for the Gamecocks

Featuring Swim

When the University of South Carolina announced Coach Funk as their new head football coach, it signaled a bold new direction for Columbia. He arrives not as an untested coordinator, but as a seasoned leader who has been thoroughly battle-tested by the unforgiving realities of the SEC.

Lessons from the Georgia Grind

Funk’s tenure at the University of Georgia wasn't a walk in the park. Facing intense scrutiny, high-pressure expectations, and offensive slumps that drew the ire of a demanding fanbase, he weathered a storm that would have broken lesser coaches. But those grueling struggles in Athens are exactly what make him the right fit for the Gamecocks. He isn't just familiar with the SEC; he is hardened by it, arriving in Columbia with a chip on his shoulder and the invaluable resilience that only comes from surviving the conference's toughest trials.
“I am excited to be here and look forward to getting to work,” Coach Funk said upon arriving.

Navigating the SEC Gauntlet

With his firsthand experience of how quickly things can go sideways in this conference, Funk is under no illusions about the road ahead. He is ready to channel those hard-learned lessons into a gritty, realistic rebuilding effort.
“We have our work cut out for us in the tough SEC conference but I feel we will shock some people,” he noted.

Developing the Future

A key focus of Funk's redemption tour is unlocking the roster's high-ceiling talent, starting with sophomore quarterback LaNorris Sellars.
“I look forward to putting my working with LaNorris Sellars and making him the best he can be.”

With the scars of the SEC to guide him and an energized community behind him, Coach Funk is ready to turn his past struggles into South Carolina's future triumphs.

USDA Selection Show!

LegacyCFB Selection Show: Breaking Down the Numbers Before the Reveal

With the LegacyCFB Selection Show set to unveil its final rankings on Friday, the numbers behind the process already tell a fascinating story. Thirty coaches submitted thirty boards, creating one of the most competitive selection cycles in recent memory. From powerhouse conferences to surprise contenders, there was little agreement about who deserves the top spot in CFB 27.

Conference Dominance

The SEC once again proved why it remains college football’s deepest conference, placing 14 programs on the final collection of boards. The Big Ten followed closely with 10 selections, while the ACC and independent programs combined for six appearances.

The distribution highlights the growing divide between the nation’s top conferences and the rest of the field. Together, the SEC and Big Ten accounted for 24 of the 30 selected teams, reinforcing their status as the sport’s premier leagues.

Alabama Leads the Field

No team appeared on more boards than Alabama, earning a place on 21 of the 30 ballots. While the Crimson Tide may not have secured the most first-place votes, their consistency across the selection committee made them one of the safest picks in the field.

Texas, meanwhile, posted the strongest average draft position. Appearing on 16 different lists, the Longhorns held an impressive average ranking of 5.06, suggesting that voters viewed them as one of the nation’s elite programs.

LSU Emerges as the Favorite

Although there was no unanimous choice for the top team, LSU entered the reveal as the closest thing to a consensus favorite. The Tigers earned four first-place votes—the most of any program—and topped four different boards.

Their performance reflects the challenge facing selectors this year: several programs possess championship-level talent, making it difficult to separate the contenders from one another.

No Clear Number One

Perhaps the most surprising statistic is the lack of agreement among voters. Eighteen different programs received at least one first-place vote, an unprecedented level of parity that underscores how competitive this year’s landscape has become.

Unlike previous seasons, there is no dominant favorite heading into the reveal. Every coach and voter brought a different perspective, resulting in a selection process filled with debate and uncertainty.

By the Numbers

* 30 coaches submitted ballots.
* 30 programs made the final boards.
* 456 total picks were cast.
* 51 different programs received votes.
* Teams appeared on an average of 15 boards.
* Alabama appeared on the most ballots (21).
* Texas posted the highest average draft slot (5.06).
* LSU earned the most first-place votes (4).
* Michigan and Oregon appeared on 20 and 18 boards, respectively.

Friday’s Reveal

The numbers suggest that this year’s LegacyCFB Selection Show will be one of the most unpredictable yet. With no consensus number one and dozens of programs receiving recognition, Friday’s reveal promises drama, debate, and plenty of surprises as the final board is unveiled.

Pud with a HEAVY HEART!

Featuring Pud

LegacyCFB Wire | USDA Feature
A Heavy Heart: Will Pud Finally Leave Miami Behind?

For years, one thing in USDA has been automatic: Pud was going to be Miami.
The Hurricanes weren't just his favorite team—they became part of his identity. Season after season, Pud proudly wore the orange and green, dominating the ACC, posting an impressive .800 winning percentage, and punching his ticket to the College Football Playoff on a regular basis.
But for the first time in CFB27... that tradition may be over.

The draft board isn't falling in his favor, and there's a real possibility someone else calls Miami's name before Pud gets the chance. If that happens, one of USDA's most loyal coaches will be forced to make the toughest decision of his dynasty career.

A New Chapter?
Instead of another run with the Hurricanes, Pudd's attention has shifted toward three powerhouse programs:
🟠 Texas Longhorns
🔴 Georgia Bulldogs
🟢 Oregon Ducks
Each offers championship-caliber talent, elite recruiting, and a chance to compete for a national title.
But there's one major difference...
Unlike Miami and the ACC, these programs would throw Pudd into the fire every single week.

Can He Survive the SEC or Big Ten?
Critics have always pointed to one thing.
"Pudd wins a lot... but he's always been in the ACC."
It's hard to argue with the results. The playoffs have become almost routine, but the road through the ACC isn't viewed the same as surviving the weekly gauntlet of the SEC or the Big Ten.

Can Pud maintain that .800 level against Georgia, Texas, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, and the rest of college football's heavyweights?
Or will life outside the ACC prove to be too much?

The Ultimate Question
A change of scenery could be exactly what Pud needs.
Texas offers elite facilities and endless recruiting opportunities.
Georgia is arguably the most complete program in the country with unmatched pipelines.
Oregon provides speed, innovation, and West Coast recruiting power.
Any of the three could finally deliver the one thing missing from Pud's résumé...
🏆 His first USDA National Championship.

Prediction
This isn't just about changing teams.
It's about changing legacies.
If Pud wins a title with Texas, Georgia, or Oregon, no one will ever be able to say he only succeeded because he stayed in the ACC.
But if he can't let go of Miami—and if the heartbreak of losing the Hurricanes lingers—it could become the biggest obstacle of his CFB27 season.

One thing is certain:
The next time Pud takes the field, he may not be wearing orange and green... and the entire USDA will be watching to see whether a new logo can finally bring him the national championship he's been chasing.

The Classic Dilemma

Featuring Classic

With the USDA team draft finally upon us, there’s one question everyone keeps asking: Who in the world is Classic taking with the No. 1 overall pick? The bad news is nobody knows—not even Classic. League insiders report that his “final decision” has changed approximately 47 times over the past week. One day he’s all in on Texas because “the recruiting is unmatched.” The next morning he’s convinced Notre Dame is the move. By lunch he’s tweeting about Miami, by dinner he’s studying Ohio State, and before bed he’s somehow back to Alabama… unless Georgia wins him over after watching one hype video.

At this point, Classic isn’t drafting a football team—he’s speed dating blue bloods. Every conversation starts with, “I’ve finally decided…” and ends with six different schools still “under serious consideration.” League members have reportedly stopped asking who he’s picking because the answer expires faster than milk left in the sun. If indecisiveness were a player rating, Classic would be the first-ever 99 Overall.

The rest of the league has embraced the chaos. Mock drafts have become completely useless because Classic changes his mind before the ink dries. Some owners are hoping he takes Texas. Others are praying for Georgia or Alabama. A few believe Miami is the dark horse. The only thing everyone agrees on is that he’ll somehow convince himself Ohio State is the obvious choice for about 20 minutes before discovering another YouTube dynasty video that sends him in a completely different direction.

Draft night can’t come soon enough. Whether it’s Texas, Notre Dame, Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, or Georgia, USDA fans are ready for the mystery to end. Until then, Classic remains the undisputed offseason champion of overthinking. The only lock in this entire draft is that he’ll probably announce he’s “100% decided”… right before changing his mind one last time.
