BATTLE OF THE FOOLS GOLD! 🏆🔥

IS COACH CUDDY THE REAL DEAL, OR IS COACH TRENT'S SUPERTEAM NOT SO SUPER?

#6 NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS (4–0) VS. #9 OHIO STATE BUCKEYES (3–1)

Coach Cuddy vs. Coach Trent

Location: Ohio Stadium — Columbus, Ohio

Conference: Big Ten

---

TWO POWERHOUSE PROGRAMS. TWO COACHES WITH SOMETHING TO PROVE. ONE QUESTION: WHO'S FOOLS GOLD?

The USDA Game of the Week heads to Columbus, Ohio, for a massive Big Ten showdown that could expose one of the biggest pretenders in college football!

Coach Cuddy and his undefeated #6 Nebraska Cornhuskers are rolling into the Horseshoe with a perfect 4–0 record, one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, and plenty of confidence after an impressive victory over Wisconsin.

But there's one question everybody around USDA wants answered.

HAS NEBRASKA REALLY ARRIVED, OR HAVE THE CORNHUSKERS JUST BEEN BEATING UP ON TEAMS THAT CAN'T MATCH THEIR TALENT?

Standing across the field will be Coach Trent and his #9 Ohio State Buckeyes, a team loaded with so much talent that calling them a superteam might actually be an understatement!

Ohio State has a ridiculous 99 overall rating on offense AND defense. Five-star talent everywhere you look. NFL prospects at almost every position.

But despite all that talent, the Buckeyes are sitting at 3–1.

And in USDA, when you have a roster that stacked, one loss is enough to get people talking!

Coach Trent is coming off a bye week, giving him extra time to prepare for one of the most dangerous offenses he'll face this season.

But another loss could have the entire league questioning whether this Ohio State superteam is really as unstoppable as everybody thought.

On one sideline, you have an undefeated coach trying to prove he belongs among USDA's elite.

On the other, you have a coach with arguably the most talented roster in the country trying to prove his team isn't just a collection of five-star names.

IS COACH CUDDY'S 4–0 RECORD FOOLS GOLD? OR IS COACH TRENT'S 99-OVERALL SUPERTEAM THE BIGGEST ILLUSION IN USDA?

Somebody is getting exposed this week!

WELCOME TO THE BATTLE OF THE FOOLS GOLD!

---

🌽 NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS: IS COACH CUDDY REALLY THAT GUY?

Coach Cuddy | #6 Nationally | 4–0 | 92 Overall

Coach Cuddy has Nebraska looking like a legitimate national championship contender through the first four games.

The Cornhuskers are averaging an incredible 50.8 points and 507 yards of total offense per game!

They're throwing for 306.8 yards, rushing for 200.2 yards, and averaging 8.4 yards every time they snap the football.

Those are championship-caliber offensive numbers!

But here's the problem.

NEBRASKA HASN'T FACED ANYTHING CLOSE TO OHIO STATE'S DEFENSE THIS SEASON!

The Buckeyes have a 99-rated defensive unit filled with future NFL talent, and they're going to challenge Nebraska in ways the Cornhuskers haven't experienced yet.

Coach Cuddy has the weapons to compete, but this week his coaching ability will be tested just as much as his players.

Can he make adjustments when his first game plan isn't working?

Can he stay patient when Ohio State starts bringing pressure?

And most importantly, can he keep his team from falling apart if the Buckeyes punch them in the mouth early?

Because going 4–0 is impressive.

BUT BEATING COACH TRENT IN THE HORSESHOE WOULD MAKE THE ENTIRE USDA LEAGUE TAKE NEBRASKA SERIOUSLY!

AUSTIN SIMMONS: THE SENIOR LEADER MUST CONTROL THE CHAOS!

QB Austin Simmons | 85 OVR | 6'4", 216 LBS | 93 Throw Power

Senior quarterback Austin Simmons has the keys to one of the most explosive offenses in USDA.

But this week, throwing for 400 yards isn't necessarily what Nebraska needs from him.

They need leadership!

Ohio Stadium is going to be rocking, and Coach Trent's defense will be looking to make Simmons uncomfortable from the opening possession.

With Ohio State's defensive line bringing pressure and the crowd making communication difficult, Simmons cannot afford to panic.

He must recognize blitzes, make the correct reads, and understand when to take what the defense gives him.

If Jacory Barney Jr. is open downfield, let it fly!

But if Ohio State has everything covered, take the checkdown!

There is nothing wrong with gaining five yards and living to fight another down.

Simmons possesses 93 throw power, 87 awareness, and enough mobility to extend plays when the pocket collapses.

But he cannot start playing backyard football every time Ohio State brings pressure.

Coach Cuddy needs his senior quarterback to control the tempo, protect the football, and keep Nebraska's offense on the field.

THE BIG QUESTION: CAN SIMMONS STAY CALM WHEN THE HORSESHOE STARTS SHAKING?

Because one bad interception could change everything!

NATE SHEPPARD: FOUR YARDS CAN BE WORTH MORE THAN FORTY!

HB Nate Sheppard | 93 OVR | 91 Speed | 95 Acceleration

Junior running back Nate Sheppard might be the most important offensive player for Nebraska this week.

The 5-foot-10, 207-pound East/West Playmaker is one of the most dangerous backs in the conference.

With 91 speed, 95 acceleration, 93 agility, and 92 change of direction, Sheppard has the ability to make defenders miss and turn small openings into explosive runs.

But against Ohio State, Nebraska doesn't necessarily need Sheppard to break a 70-yard touchdown.

They need him to consistently gain three, four, and five yards.

Why?

Because Ohio State wants Nebraska in obvious passing situations!

If Sheppard starts getting tackled for losses, Simmons will constantly face third-and-long situations against a defensive line that loves getting after quarterbacks.

And that's exactly what Coach Trent wants.

But if Sheppard can consistently move the chains, Ohio State will have to respect Nebraska's running game.

That's when the play-action passes, deep shots, and explosive plays become available.

Coach Cuddy must be patient with his running back.

Inside zones, outside zones, draws, screens, and stretch plays can all help keep Ohio State guessing.

SHEPPARD DOESN'T HAVE TO WIN THE GAME BY HIMSELF. HE JUST HAS TO KEEP NEBRASKA OUT OF TROUBLE!

FOUR DANGEROUS RECEIVERS: CAN OHIO STATE COVER ALL OF THEM?

This is where Nebraska gets scary!

Coach Cuddy has four receivers capable of creating problems for any defense in USDA.

Jacory Barney Jr., Nyziah Hunter, Cortez Mills Jr., and Nathan Leacock!

That's not just a receiving corps.

THAT'S FOUR DIFFERENT HEADACHES FOR COACH TRENT!

Jacory Barney Jr. — THE MAIN ATTRACTION!

WR | 94 OVR | 93 Speed | 95 Acceleration | 96 COD

Senior receiver Jacory Barney Jr. is Nebraska's biggest threat in the passing game.

His route-running ability, quickness, and change of direction make him extremely difficult to cover one-on-one.

Barney can work underneath, attack the middle of the field, or take the top off a defense.

With 95 catching and 96 change of direction, he has everything needed to create separation against elite defensive backs.

Coach Cuddy needs to move Barney around the formation.

Put him in the slot. Send him in motion. Give him option routes, crossing patterns, and opportunities to attack man coverage.

If Ohio State leaves Barney alone too often, he could have a monster afternoon!

Nyziah Hunter — THE SPEED THREAT!

Hunter brings 95 speed and another dangerous weapon to Nebraska's passing attack.

If Ohio State starts putting extra attention on Barney, Hunter could find himself in favorable matchups.

One missed assignment could result in six points!

Cortez Mills Jr. — THE EXPLOSIVE PLAYMAKER!

Mills brings 94 speed, 95 acceleration, and 96 agility.

He's another receiver capable of making defenders miss and turning short completions into explosive plays.

Nebraska can use Mills on screens, crossing routes, and vertical concepts to stress Ohio State's secondary.

Nathan Leacock — THE FORGOTTEN WEAPON!

With 94 speed and 92 catching, Leacock is far from an ordinary fourth receiving option.

He gives Nebraska another dependable target who can punish Ohio State if the Buckeyes focus too heavily on the other three receivers.

And that's what makes Nebraska dangerous.

YOU CAN'T DOUBLE EVERYBODY!

If Ohio State's defensive line isn't generating pressure, somebody in this receiving group is eventually going to get open.

But the question remains.

Can Nebraska's receivers create separation against one of the most talented secondaries in USDA?

THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST TEST OF THEIR SEASON!

---

🛡️ NEBRASKA DEFENSE: CAN THE BLACKSHIRTS SLOW DOWN A SUPERTEAM?

Nebraska's defense is allowing just 16.2 points per game.

But this week, those numbers will be put to the ultimate test.

Ohio State has a 99-rated offense with a dangerous quarterback, one of the best running backs in the country, and arguably the best wide receiver in college football.

Coach Cuddy cannot expect to shut Ohio State out.

But if Nebraska can force field goals, create turnovers, and get off the field on third down, the Cornhuskers have a real opportunity to win this game.

RILEY VAN POPPEL: THE WAR STARTS IN THE TRENCHES!

Defensive tackle Riley Van Poppel has one of the toughest assignments on Nebraska's defense.

He must control the middle of the defensive line and keep Ohio State's offensive linemen from opening massive running lanes.

Coach Trent will try to establish Bo Jackson early, and Van Poppel has to make sure the Buckeyes don't start running straight through Nebraska's defense.

He needs to occupy blockers, demand double teams, and create opportunities for Nebraska's linebackers and edge rushers.

If Van Poppel gets pushed around, Bo Jackson could have a field day.

But if he holds his ground, Nebraska's linebackers can attack downhill and make plays.

NEBRASKA CANNOT LET OHIO STATE OWN THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE!

OWEN CHAMBLISS: THE DEFENSIVE QUARTERBACK!

OLB Owen Chambliss | 84 Speed | 95 Awareness | 95 Play Recognition

Nebraska's linebacker corps might be the strongest part of its defense.

And Owen Chambliss is one of the biggest reasons why!

With 95 awareness and 95 play recognition, Chambliss has the football intelligence to diagnose plays before they fully develop.

Add 84 speed, and you have a linebacker who can cover ground, chase down running backs, and make plays all over the field.

Chambliss must be everywhere against Ohio State.

He needs to recognize RPOs, attack running lanes, help contain Bo Jackson, and get pressure on Tavien St. Clair when Nebraska brings blitzes.

If Nebraska can keep Ohio State from establishing the run, Chambliss and the linebackers could become the difference-makers.

But stopping Ohio State's running game is only half the battle.

Because there's a monster waiting on the outside!

KOBI BLACKWELL VS. JEREMIAH SMITH: LORD HAVE MERCY!

Nebraska cornerback Kobi Blackwell is about to face one of the toughest assignments of his football career.

At just 5-foot-8, Blackwell could find himself matched against Ohio State's 6-foot-3 superstar receiver Jeremiah Smith.

That's a five-inch height disadvantage against a receiver who is already one of the most physically gifted players in the country!

Coach Cuddy better have some help ready.

Leaving Blackwell isolated against Smith all afternoon could be a disaster.

Nebraska might need to lean heavily on zone coverage, safety help, and carefully timed zone blitzes to limit Ohio State's explosive passing attack.

The Cornhuskers cannot allow Smith to catch easy drags, turn RPOs into huge gains, or run uncovered down the sideline.

Every catch needs to be contested.

Every tackle needs to be made.

And every defensive back must communicate.

IF NEBRASKA CAN CONTAIN JEREMIAH SMITH WITHOUT SACRIFICING ITS ENTIRE DEFENSE, COACH CUDDY MIGHT JUST WALK OUT OF COLUMBUS 5–0!

But if Smith starts taking over?

That undefeated record could disappear quickly!

---

🌰 OHIO STATE BUCKEYES: IS COACH TRENT'S SUPERTEAM FOOLS GOLD?

Coach Trent | #9 Nationally | 3–1 | 99 Overall

Let's get something straight.

Coach Trent has absolutely no excuses when it comes to talent!

Ohio State is loaded from top to bottom.

99 OVERALL. 99 OFFENSE. 99 DEFENSE.

You can't build a much better roster than that!

The Buckeyes are averaging 42.8 points and 444.2 total yards per game while allowing just 15.2 points.

Those are impressive numbers.

But Ohio State already has one loss.

And with Nebraska coming into Columbus undefeated, this is another opportunity for Coach Trent to prove that his Buckeyes are legitimate national championship contenders.

The bye week gave Trent extra preparation time.

He has had an opportunity to study Nebraska's tendencies, identify weaknesses, and put together a game plan designed to expose Coach Cuddy.

But here's the problem.

HAVING THE BEST PLAYERS DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU THE BEST COACH!

If Ohio State loses another big game, people around USDA are going to start asking some uncomfortable questions.

Is this really a superteam?

Or is Coach Trent sitting on a gold mine without knowing how to get the gold out?

THIS WEEK, THE PRESSURE IS ON COACH TRENT!

TAVIEN ST. CLAIR: TIME TO PLAY LIKE A SUPERSTAR!

QB Tavien St. Clair | 89 OVR | 94 Throw Power | 88 Speed

Tavien St. Clair has all the tools to become one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in USDA.

The 6-foot-4, 231-pound dual-threat quarterback possesses a powerful arm, good mobility, and the ability to make plays outside the pocket.

But this week is about more than physical talent.

It's about toughness!

When Nebraska brings pressure, St. Clair cannot get rattled.

He must recognize the blitz, get the football out on time, and understand when to use his legs.

With 88 speed, St. Clair can punish defenses that leave running lanes open.

And if Nebraska starts dropping seven or eight defenders into coverage, Coach Trent should be ready to let his quarterback take off.

But St. Clair cannot rely on scrambling every time his first read is covered.

He has to show patience, make smart decisions, and keep the offense moving.

Nebraska's linebackers are too intelligent to fall for the same plays all afternoon.

St. Clair will need to adjust throughout the game.

THIS IS HIS OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW EVERYBODY THAT HE'S MORE THAN JUST A HIGHLY RATED QUARTERBACK!

BO JACKSON: THE LIGHTS ARE ON YOU!

HB Bo Jackson | 96 OVR | 92 Speed | 94 Acceleration | 95 Agility

If Ohio State wants to remind everybody why it's considered a superteam, Coach Trent needs to feed Bo Jackson!

The 6-foot, 222-pound junior is one of the most dangerous running backs in college football.

Jackson combines size, speed, explosiveness, and elite playmaking ability.

With the Human Joystick, Juke Box, Spin Cycle, and Arm Bar abilities, Jackson has multiple ways to make defenders look foolish.

He can make linebackers miss in the open field.

He can bounce runs outside.

And when defenders think they have him wrapped up, he can fight through contact for extra yards.

Coach Trent needs Jackson to be the engine that drives this offense.

Feed him early!

Make Nebraska's linebackers tackle him repeatedly.

Force those defensive linemen to fight through blocks all afternoon.

Wear the Cornhuskers down!

And once Nebraska starts bringing extra defenders into the box, that's when Coach Trent can unleash the passing attack.

But Jackson cannot afford to spend the entire afternoon getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

He needs to establish a rhythm.

IF BO JACKSON STARTS DOMINATING, OHIO STATE'S ENTIRE PLAYBOOK OPENS UP!

And that is a scary thought for Nebraska!

JEREMIAH SMITH: THE BEST PLAYER ON THE FIELD?

WR Jeremiah Smith | 99 OVR | 6'3", 225 LBS | 95 Speed | 97 Catching

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the player everybody will be watching!

JEREMIAH SMITH!

The Ohio State superstar is a walking mismatch.

At 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds, Smith possesses the size of a physical receiver, the speed of a deep threat, and the hands of an elite NFL prospect.

His ratings are ridiculous.

95 speed. 96 acceleration. 99 agility. 99 change of direction. 97 catching.

What exactly is Nebraska supposed to do with that?

Put one corner on him?

Good luck!

Bring a safety over the top?

Now somebody else is open!

Play zone?

Smith can find the soft spots!

Coach Trent needs to move Smith all over the field.

Line him up outside. Put him in the slot. Send him in motion. Give him drags, slants, RPO opportunities, deep posts, and streaks.

Make Nebraska identify where Smith is before every snap.

If Nebraska leaves Kobi Blackwell isolated against him, Coach Trent should attack that matchup until the Cornhuskers prove they can stop it.

This is another opportunity for Smith to show why he could be the first player walking across the stage on NFL Draft night.

But being the best receiver on paper means nothing if you disappear in the biggest games.

JEREMIAH SMITH HAS TO SHOW THAT WHEN THE LIGHTS GET BRIGHT, HE GETS EVEN BETTER!

And don't forget Ohio State's other receivers!

Chris Henry Jr. and Micahi Danzy give St. Clair additional explosive targets who can punish Nebraska for putting too much attention on Smith.

Nebraska has a dangerous receiving corps.

But Ohio State has a superstar capable of taking over the entire football game by himself!

---

🛡️ OHIO STATE DEFENSE: 99 OVERALL, NO EXCUSES!

This is where Coach Trent has the biggest advantage.

Ohio State's defense is stacked at nearly every position.

The Buckeyes have elite defensive tackles, dangerous edge rushers, talented linebackers, and defensive backs capable of challenging Nebraska's explosive receiving corps.

And with the game being played in Columbus, that defensive front will have the home crowd behind it.

Coach Trent needs to make Austin Simmons uncomfortable from the opening possession.

Because if Nebraska gets into a rhythm and starts scoring 40 or 50 points, the Buckeyes could find themselves in a shootout they never expected.

EDDRICK HOUSTON AND JOHN WALKER: SHUT DOWN THE RUN!

Defensive tackles Eddrick Houston and John Walker have one major assignment.

DO NOT LET NATE SHEPPARD CONTROL THIS FOOTBALL GAME!

Nebraska wants to establish the run and create manageable passing situations.

Ohio State wants the complete opposite.

Houston and Walker must dominate the interior, clog rushing lanes, and force Sheppard to work for every yard.

If they can hold Nebraska to one or two yards on first down, the Buckeyes can start bringing pressure on Simmons.

And once Nebraska becomes one-dimensional, Ohio State's defensive line can really start hunting!

But if Sheppard consistently picks up four or five yards, Coach Trent could find himself playing defense against Nebraska's entire playbook.

THE BATTLE BETWEEN OHIO STATE'S DEFENSIVE TACKLES AND NEBRASKA'S OFFENSIVE LINE COULD DECIDE THIS GAME!

ZION ELEE: THE QUARTERBACK HUNTER!

When Nebraska is forced into passing situations, Coach Trent will be looking toward edge rusher Zion Elee.

Elee has the ability to make life miserable for Austin Simmons.

His job will be to pressure the quarterback, force him off his spot, and create mistakes.

But Elee must stay disciplined.

Nebraska has enough speed to punish an overly aggressive defense with screens, draws, and misdirection.

Coach Cuddy will likely try to use Ohio State's aggressiveness against it.

If Elee starts flying upfield without recognizing the play, Nebraska could hit a screen behind him for a huge gain.

But if he plays under control and consistently gets pressure?

Simmons could be in for a long afternoon.

COACH TRENT NEEDS ZION ELEE TO BE A NIGHTMARE OFF THE EDGE!

DEVIN SANCHEZ VS. JACORY BARNEY JR.: THE MATCHUP EVERYBODY WANTS!

This might be the best individual matchup of the entire game!

Ohio State cornerback Devin Sanchez will have the difficult assignment of trying to contain Nebraska's superstar receiver Jacory Barney Jr.

Barney is an elite route runner who can create separation with quick cuts and explosive acceleration.

Sanchez must stay patient, trust his technique, and avoid getting beaten by double moves.

But Ohio State cannot focus entirely on Barney.

Demetres Samuel Jr. and Cam Calhoun will also have major responsibilities against Nebraska's talented receiving corps.

Coach Trent has the defensive backs to challenge Nebraska with press coverage, bump-and-run techniques, and aggressive man-to-man looks.

The goal?

Disrupt Nebraska's timing!

Make those receivers work to get off the line of scrimmage.

Give Houston, Walker, and Elee extra time to get into the backfield.

But there's danger in that approach.

If Nebraska's receivers beat the press coverage, there might not be much help behind them.

And with Barney, Hunter, Mills, and Leacock all possessing explosive speed, one missed assignment could result in a touchdown.

OHIO STATE'S CORNERS HAVE THE TALENT TO WIN THIS BATTLE, BUT THEY BETTER COME READY TO WORK!

Looking at these numbers, this matchup is closer than the overall ratings might suggest.

Nebraska is scoring eight more points per game and producing nearly 63 more yards of total offense.

Ohio State has the advantage in roster talent, passing production, and points allowed.

But Nebraska has the more productive rushing attack.

And both defenses have been extremely difficult to run against.

That means the battle in the trenches will be huge!

Ohio State wants to force Simmons into obvious passing situations.

Nebraska wants to keep St. Clair and Jeremiah Smith standing on the sideline.

WHOEVER CONTROLS THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE COULD CONTROL THE ENTIRE GAME!

---

🔥 FIVE QUESTIONS THAT WILL DECIDE THE BATTLE OF THE FOOLS GOLD!

1. CAN NEBRASKA'S OFFENSE SCORE AGAINST A 99-RATED DEFENSE?

Coach Cuddy has been putting up video-game numbers all season, but Ohio State has the defensive talent to challenge every part of Nebraska's offense. This is the ultimate test of whether those 50.8 points per game are legitimate.

2. WILL BO JACKSON TAKE OVER THE FOOTBALL GAME?

Coach Trent needs his superstar running back to establish a physical presence early. If Jackson starts breaking tackles and producing explosive runs, Nebraska will have to commit more defenders to stopping him.

3. CAN NEBRASKA'S CORNERS SURVIVE JEREMIAH SMITH?

Smith is a nightmare matchup for any defense. Nebraska must find a way to limit his explosive plays without leaving Ohio State's other receivers wide open.

4. WILL AUSTIN SIMMONS HANDLE THE HORSESHOE?

The senior quarterback must show leadership in one of the toughest environments in college football. Bad decisions, unnecessary sacks, and turnovers could destroy Nebraska's chances.

5. WHICH COACH WILL MAKE THE BETTER ADJUSTMENTS?

This might be the biggest question of them all.

Coach Cuddy has been successful with an explosive, balanced offense.

Coach Trent has the luxury of elite talent everywhere.

But what happens when the original game plan stops working?

Who adjusts first?

Who recognizes the mismatches?

And who has the courage to make the right call when the game is on the line?

THIS IS WHERE GOOD COACHES SEPARATE THEMSELVES FROM GREAT ONES!

---

🏆 USDA WIRE FINAL WORD: SOMEBODY'S GOLD IS GETTING TESTED!

This isn't just another Big Ten football game.

This is a reputation game!

Coach Cuddy has Nebraska sitting undefeated at 4–0, ranked sixth in the nation, and playing some of the best offensive football in USDA.

But everybody wants to know whether he's really built a championship contender or whether that perfect record has been hiding some weaknesses.

A victory in Columbus would answer a lot of those questions.

It would show that Nebraska can compete with the most talented teams in the country and that Coach Cuddy belongs in the national championship conversation.

But a blowout loss?

That would have the entire USDA league questioning just how good Nebraska really is.

And then there's Coach Trent.

A man sitting on a roster filled with elite talent, future NFL players, and enough five-star athletes to make most coaches jealous.

99 OVERALL! 99 OFFENSE! 99 DEFENSE!

But talent doesn't win championships by itself.

Coaching matters!

Execution matters!

And when the game gets tight in the fourth quarter, having a bunch of highly rated players means absolutely nothing if you can't put them in position to succeed.

Coach Trent has the home-field advantage, the better overall roster, and an extra week to prepare.

He has everything he needs to win this game.

But if he loses?

The questions are only going to get louder.

HOW CAN A TEAM THIS TALENTED KEEP LOSING BIG GAMES?

That's the pressure Coach Trent is facing.

For Coach Cuddy, this is an opportunity to prove everybody wrong.

For Coach Trent, this is an opportunity to silence the doubters.

One coach wants respect.

The other wants redemption.

And both are walking into Ohio Stadium knowing that somebody's reputation is going to take a major hit.

WILL COACH CUDDY WALK INTO THE HORSESHOE AND PROVE THAT NEBRASKA IS THE REAL DEAL?

OR WILL COACH TRENT FINALLY UNLEASH HIS SUPERTEAM AND SHOW EVERYBODY WHY OHIO STATE IS ONE OF THE MOST FEARED PROGRAMS IN USDA?

There's only one way to find out!
