Player Retention
The first offseason phase after the National Championship is Players Leaving — upperclassmen declare for the NFL Draft or enter the Transfer Portal. You may persuade any of them to stay.
There are no rules about who you persuade, how many you keep, or which draft grades are eligible. This replaces every old "must let leave" restriction with one honest constraint: keeping a player costs Dynasty Points, and the game sets that price. This rulebook does not publish a competing one.
Retention is charged to NEXT season's budget. Log everyone you keep on My Class, in Dynasty Points (◆), at what you actually paid. The total comes off next season's room as a carry-over deduction once the season rolls over.
That last part is a league rule, not something the game does, and it is the whole point: keeping a star costs you in the year you have to replace him. Build your retention list against next year's room, not this year's pride.
